Juliana's love for dance started at the early age of 3 when I began attending the Alice Arja Professional School of Dance in Brazil. Over the years she danced ballet, jazz, tap, tango, forro, samba, and contemporary and truly discovered how rewarding dance could be!
She later earned a bachelor’s degree in Dance Performance at University in Rio de Janeiro. It was here that she found her true calling while performing jazz choreography in musical productions. Throughout university, she began ‘dancing with purpose’ and realized that a career as a dance instructor was exactly what she wanted. Her dream was to help dancers to find themselves and their own ‘voice’ on the dance floor.
While working as an instructor at La Danse school in Rio, she had the opportunity to study abroad at The Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, DC before moving on to train at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway in New York City! These experiences broadened her perspective on the dance world, in both classical, Latin, and contemporary styles, and encouraged her to bring new “flavors” back to the students in her classes.
She strongly believes that dance is everywhere in the world, and she believes there is always something to learn, refine, and perfect wherever you go! She is very excited to bring the lessons that she had learned in her travels to her new role as Dance Instructor at Salsa Beats.
