1. Registrations
All classes/enrollments/private lessons must be paid in full prior to starting the class/enrollment or private lesson. Registrants will only be permitted to skip a level upon instructor evaluation.
2. Private Lessons / Make-up Lessons
All Private Lessons must be pre-booked. To find out schedule and instructor availability for Private Lessons please email [email protected]. While it is the responsibility of the student to ensure that they attend all lessons we do understand that sometimes that’s not possible therefore, students will be granted an opportunity to make up missed lesson on the next opportunity the same level and class is offered
A make-up lesson is not a private lesson but rather the student will have the opportunity to book an alternate day that the class is being offered to make-up for the class that they have missed. There are no refunds or credits for missed classes.
3. Cancellation Policy
Salsa Beats reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment. Should the class get cancelled, students who have pre-registered will be given the option to register for another class, or receive a full refund for the amount that they paid. In the event that the student wishes to cancel a registration, they may do so up to 14 days prior to the class/enrollment start date and will be refunded the amount paid less administrative fees. Thereafter, any cancellation requests submitted prior to classes starting will be eligible for a credit only. No refunds/credits will be issued once a class/enrollment is in progress.
4. Dress Code / Grooming / Student Conduct
Students are asked to dress comfortably and to wear clothing that doesn’t restrict movement. All students are required to bring indoor shoes with no rubber soles. No outdoor shoes will be permitted on the dance floor. It is preferred but not mandatory for ladies to wear heels. Should the ladies choose to wear heels, we suggest that the shoe have an ankle strap to avoid slipping off and causing any injury. As Salsa requires partnering, it is imperative that all students partaking in any Salsa Beats activities/events/classes do so cleaned, groomed and in good health. This will help to avoid any unpleasant odours and prevent the spread of viruses. Students are to refrain from using any strong scented fragrances as some students may be allergic or asthmatic to such scents. Salsa Beats is a respectable, well known dance studio in the Salsa community and therefore, has 0 tolerance for any loud, disruptive aggressive behaviour both inside the studios or offsite at any events/parties/class outings hosted by Salsa Beats. Should students of Salsa Beats display such behaviours they will be removed from the event/class or outing at the discretion of the Salsa Beats staff and without reimbursement.
5. Photos & Videos
Salsa Beats has full rights to any videos and / or photos taken during classes and performances of its students and performance. Salsa Beats can use these footages in its promotional materials. Including but not limited to website, flyers, leaflets, brochures, posters, social media. By registering and/or attending any classes, you consent to videos and photos to be taken of you and be used for promotional purposes.
6. Attendance
As partners are not required to register, yet most of our classes are partner dances, Salsa Beats requires that you let us know a minimum 1.5 hrs in advance of the class if you are unable to make it to class. This can be done via a text message to 705 970 0863 or email to [email protected]. This will allow us an opportunity to make sure the ratios in class are even. Someone may replace your spot, or a volunteer may be called off, so this is very important. If you continuously miss classes without letting us know, Salsa Beats reserves the right to remove you from the class without refund and replace your spot.
