How Our Classes Work
What Can I Expect?
We’ve designed our classes to help you grow confidently as a dancer while keeping the experience fun, social, and structured.
Partner Rotation
- We rotate partners during class to help you develop connection, adaptability, and social dance skills.
- This also builds comfort dancing with different people—an essential part of Latin social dancing.
Level Structure
- Newcomers are welcomed into Beginner (Level 1) classes.
- Each group progresses together through Intermediate and Advanced levels.
- Our “levels” are approximate—Level 3 with one instructor may differ from Level 3 with another.
- Switching classes or joining a non-Level 1 class requires instructor assessment.
- Experienced newcomers must book a free 15-minute assessment.
- If you’ve taken a break, you’ll need an assessment to determine your current skill level before rejoining.
Instructor Variety
- Classes are taught by different instructors, each with their own unique style and teaching approach.
- This gives students a well-rounded learning experience and exposure to diverse techniques.
Progressive Curriculum
- Our classes follow a progressive format—each week builds on the previous one.
- This structure helps students learn optimally and retain skills more effectively.
- To get the most out of your training, we strongly encourage consistent attendance.
Matched Ratios & Attendance
- We carefully match lead/follow ratios so that everyone has a dance partner.
- Showing up is essential—your attendance affects the whole group.
- If you can’t attend, please notify us at least 5 hours in advance so we can adjust accordingly.
